3M Green Corps Abrasive Sheet is a tough file sheet built on E-weight backing to make it extremely durable for sanding paint, metal or fiberglass. A ceramic aluminum oxide abrasive blend delivers a fast cut and long life. The resin bond is designed for maximum heat resistance.
A Tough Sheet for Tough Surfaces
Combining features to deliver smooth, even sanding on tough surfaces, 3M Stikit Green Corps Abrasive Sheet 252U is designed for dry sanding by hand or air file. Air files and hand files make getting into compact spaces easier without fear of damaging handles, emblems, lights, etc., on automotive surfaces. These file sheets are fast and easy to attach, remove and reuse with power or hand sanding equipment.
Use these sheets on the following surfaces: clear coats, fiberglass, filler, metal, paint and plastic. They are excellent for use with 3M’s File Board 23 ⁄4" X 16", PN 05244.
Blended Grain for Better Cut
For increased performance, 3M Green Corps Abrasive Sheet 252U features aluminum oxide blended with 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain for a durable, long-lasting abrasive. Perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal as well as sanding and finishing applications, ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress. Collision Repair and Paint Removal
This sheet is one of 3M’s better abrasives for stripping paint to metal. Its open coat abrasive resists loading on surfaces that might do in closed coat sheets, so it’s a good choice for shaping and sanding plastic filler, as well.
During the Prepare Stage of the 3M Body Repair System, use the sheets to quickly strip paint from metal, plastic or fiberglass panels. Follow this step with 80 grit sandpaper to refine the 36 grit scratches. Sanding to bare metal will allow the body filler to adhere well to the panel.
